About This Event
Pianist Leonie Cohen and vocalist Nicky Crayson are two of Australia’s finest jazz musicians. Their long-standing collaboration reveals a deep musical connection and a shared ardour for jazz standards and retro favourites… Gershwin, Porter, Berlin, Dolly and Prince – alongside beautifully crafted original material. The evening features Cohen’s arrangements of traditional Jewish melodies from her ABC-commissioned album Jerusalem, and acclaimed musicians Hugh Fraser (bass) and Toby Hall (drums).
"Cohen plays absolutely beautifully. Superb.” – SMH
“Crayson is the most original singer I’ve heard – unforgettable, fantastic.” Tony Bennett
